Thomas Wilcox or known as Tommy by his friends is a delightful peer of our class. Tommy is a local kid, he grew up about 15 minutes away and went to school at Caravel Academy a prep school down the road from UD. When it came to the big decision he was torn between UD and Penn State. In the end, he could not turn down the great in-state cost and the proximity to his family. At home, he lives with his parents and older sister but his favorite is probably his dog Maggie, a french briard.
Leading up to his time at UD he spent his summer down at the beach, where he has a beach house located in Bethany. He did everything imaginable at the beach, surf, skimboard and enjoy nice scenic rides in his jeep.
During the fall he was a part of the UD Club soccer team and was their center mid. If he was not playing soccer you could find him cheering on the Eagles, but it would not be at Russell his dorm, as he is not the biggest fan of it. During our never-ending winter break, he shredded the slopes snowboarding at various mountains around the area. Although he enjoyed the relaxation of break we both agreed on it being a little too long. During this semester he is looking forward to the business classes he is taking and is hoping to narrow down his major as he is currently business undecided.

Michael Muscato is a friendly, outgoing Blue Hen from Monmouth County, New Jersey. Carol and Bill Muscato’s son was born in Manhattan, New York. Michael lived in Sea Girt, New Jersey until he was four years old. He then moved to Brielle, New Jersey where he currently lives. Following in his older brother’s footsteps, Michael decided to attend the University of Delaware as a business major. He also has a 21 year old sister who attends Towson University.
Michael shares a strong passion for music. Ever since the age of four, Michael has been playing the drums. He more recently began playing the guitar as well. In high school, Michael was a member of his school’s Jazz Band. In his free time at the University, Michael can be found in his dorm in James Smith Hall relaxing and playing his new guitar that he got for Christmas.
He enjoys traveling to different destinations around the world. In his junior year of high school, he attended a trip to Spain with his 8th grade Spanish class. He also recently travelled to Turks and Caicos on a vacation with his family.
Something Michael is proud of is that he won the yearbook superlative “Everybody’s Pal” in both elementary school and high school reflecting his welcoming personality.

Over the past two classes, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Conner Polizzi-Gullo. Conner was born in Boston, MA and has been living in Bear, DE for 10 years. He graduated from Appoquinimink High School. While he lives quite close to UD, he doesn’t often go home during the school year. His home at UD is George Read Hall up on Laird Campus. Conner is quite pleased with his air-conditioned dorm room, but he is not particularly fond of how isolated George Read is from the heart of campus.
I get the feeling that Conner is a dedicated and ambitious person. I was both surprised and impressed to hear that he is pursuing a triple major. Currently enrolled in the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, Conner’s majors include Finance, Global Enterprise Management, and Financial Planning and Wealth Management. If this doesn’t tell you that he has an interest in business, he frequently enjoys buying and selling stocks on the Internet. Speaking of business, Conner has been a major player in the shoe resale market since he was a freshman in high school. He uses websites such as StockX and GOAT to connect with potential buyers and mail out shoes far and wide.
Conner is a big fan of the New York Jets. I’m sure he likes to play as that team when he plays Madden video games, one of his occasional hobbies. A couple other interesting facts I learned about Connor are that his favorite food is Mac and Cheese and his favorite travel destination is Manhattan. I look forward to learning even more about Conner as the semester goes on.
