Over the past 15 minutes, my thoughts have been bouncing around my head, ranging from old memories with my friends to my first semester here at the University of Delaware. I usually never take the time to just sit down to recollect my thoughts. Most of the time when I am either stressed or bored, I go on social media to distract myself from my real problems.
As soon as I put all my distractions away, I started to think about memories from this winter break with my friends. I have a really close relationship with my friends from home and once those memories popped into my head, it made me want to be back together with them. As time passes by, I realize that we all went to different schools for a reason and we all went to college for one goal, to get a degree. The next thing that I thought of was school here at the University of Delaware. The first thing that popped into my head, when I thought about UD was my first semester. This brought back good and bad memories, but overall my first semester was one that I would never forget. My first semester was a huge learning experience and it made me realize that college is no joke.
As my 15 minutes of no distractions concluded, it made me realize many things. Too much technology can be unhealthy and periodically everybody needs a break from it. These 15 minutes made me realize how addicted I can be to technology and it showed me that I need to put restrictions on it.
