2024, the year I will be looking forward to. I would wake up in the morning to the sound of an engine starting below me and the smell of gasoline in the air. I would wake up to either one of my jobs. Would I be going downstairs to work in the shop today or would I be going to the hospital to work and help care for others.
Out of college I hope to get a stable job as a nurse in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In addition, I hope to open up a performance modification shop with my friends as a part of the house we buy. This would be perfect for all of us and we all have great skill-sets that we could put to use in the shop. After a long day of work in the shop we could each hop into one of our trial cars and go cruising down the highway finding out exactly how fast these cars can go and whether our mods are working.
I also hope to progress past a nurse at some point in my career and possibly go to med school. This has always been a desire of mine but the prospect of that much school without earning money is very daunting. I would prefer to take a few years off and earn some money for myself. Going back to graduate school later on, maybe furthering my nursing degree or aiming for my Doctorate.
If the shop becomes a solid source of income I would possibly quit nursing and focus full time on growing that and finding new locations that we could open up. Cars and nursing have become such a large part of my life and are a staple of who I am. It is important that both of these aspects are a part of me as I age.
