Pre existing conditions, elderly, immune systems with low resistance
This is why you’re supposed to social distance
People knocking on deaths door with no loved ones by their side
Doctors and nurses watching stockpiles of gear dwindle to the floor
This is what makes me think twice about walking out my front door
School is stuck inside an electronic screen
No going to the library, no walking to class, no hanging out with friends
Hoping there is some truth to the latest decrease in virus trends
But there is hope at the end of the tunnel
Eventually we will be able to go out into the world
Do our lives as if everything was completely normal
Because these last few weeks have been quite informal

My favorite line from your poem is, “This is what makes me think twice about walking out my front door.” You did a really good job at building up to that sentence. It is also great to see people taking the right precautions and staying inside. I also really like your first sentence, “Pre existing conditions, elderly, immune systems with low resistance.” This sentence is well thought out and is great way to start off a poem.

I loved your poem. I loved the line, “Pre-exisiting conditions, elderly, immune systems with low resistance–this is why your supposed to social distance.” It really called out the attention to why people should be social distancing head on. Your poem flowed very nicely as well.
