Over a thousand miles separate us.
You tell us not to make a big fuss.
We are all worried as you have grown in age
and have been stuck in your house like it a cage.
We all want you home and in New York
but we know you are in good hands with Ororks.
They are a nice Irish couple who treats you like their own
and have been worried about you since the day this all hit home.
We might not not be able to see you face to face
but I haven’t missed one of our FaceTime Dates.
I can’t wait to see you both
Very soon I hope.
– this is about my grandparents who are in Florida that I have not seen.

Your title caught my eye as I feel the same way. Further reading your poem I relate to many of the thoughts and emotions you describe. “You tell us not to make a big fuss. We are all worried as you have grown in age” my family has gone through the same cycle as my grandparents tell us to calm down. Overall great poem! My grandparents are down in Naples, Florida.

Your poem really summarizes all of our feelings right now. Most of us have never had to stay away from loved ones to actually protect them. The way you rhymed made the poem flow really nicely. It’s a nice short poem, but it really captures your situation right now. I hope you see them soon.
