Dear Nico,
How have you been during these past crazy months? The last time we spoke was right before we left for college, and now look at us. This is so crazy; I hope you are safe and healthy! On that note, how was the beginning of your second semester? Did you rush that fraternity you were telling me about? Did you make any new friends? How has club volleyball been treating you? I wish I can ask you all these questions in person, this really does suck. I remember you telling me you were a little nervous to go back, so I hope everything went well. I was planning on taking a trip down to visit you this semester, but obviously I had to cancel. How is your mom handling everything going on? Is she still working? Tell her my family and I really miss her!
I also want to say I am sorry for not texting you at all this semester. I decided to challenge myself this semester and take 18 credits, so I have been extremely busy. You probably think I am crazy for taking 18 credits, but I realized I needed to challenge myself. My work ethic changed drastically this semester and I have been on top of all my schoolwork. I do not recommend doing this, but if you want to challenge yourself, I say go for it. College is all about learning and accomplishing new things, and this was a goal of mine. I will keep you updated on how I finish the semester off. I really miss you and I can’t wait to see you and your family. Stay safe out there!
From,
Nik

I liked how you went about sharing all of these questions that you have been wanting to ask as you reflect on your times with Nico. I also enjoyed how you included how this virus is prohibiting you from hanging out with Nico and catching up about your first semesters at college. I enjoyed how you shared your goals to challenge yourself to new levels as you took a leap into your second semester of college.

I liked how you added a picture of you and your friend, it shows how you guys have been friends since you were young. Sometimes even though you don’t talk often, it doesn’t mean that you haven’t thought about each other. I also liked how you were asking him questions throughout so that he could respond to you. Super cute, maybe you should actually send this to him!

By this letter it appears to me you are very good friends. I can tell you feel a little guilty about not speaking to him as much, but it is understandable as you are taking 18 credits. I can tell by all the questions you ask that you are very concerned about him and you care a lot. That is important in a friend. I’m sure he would appreciate receiving this letter.
