The question on everyone’s mind during this time is when will COVID-19 be over. We are all hoping to be out of the quarantine and be able to be with our friends and family, but once the “pause” comes off of the states will it ever still be the same?

COVID-19 has forced people to stay inside their homes and not do the daily things they would normally be able to do. In my house simple things such as getting milk from the grocery store, has turned into a full on shower of lysol being sprayed onto you. For me personally, I don’t know how long it will personally take for me to be comfortable enough to go around people even when social distancing rules are dropped. “When he arrived at the gated community where he lives, a masked police officer wearing gloves scanned his wrist to check his temperature before allowing him inside.” This quote is a perfect example of what life will be like after this. Everyone is going to be on edge with not knowing who is safe or not.

A thing on my mind is will everyone be allowed out at once or will there be certain rules restricting certain people. “If you are certified to be immune to the virus, you will get a pass to resume your daily routine, and if not, you will have to stay indoors. The U.K. government is already considering it and other countries might follow suit.” In my opinion this is something that should happen. If people are allowed out with no rules, there will be a resurgence of COVID-19 and it will be bigger then it is now. “But the risks of relaxing too much, too soon, are very real, and medical experts have warned against rushing to lift restrictions prematurely, potentially sparking a more deadly second wave and undermining the hard-won gains so far.” As someone with a compromised immune system this is something that really scares me. I can be following all the rules and doing everything right, but one person could mess that up and make me sick.

“As we move forward in this difficult time, our lives, our health system and approach to stopping transmission must continue to adapt and evolve along with the epidemic, at least until a vaccine or very effective treatment is found. This process will need to become our new normal,” Kasai said.” Until a vaccine is found, people need to change their ways of doing things. The bars, restaurants, and stores should not be open until a vaccine is found so nobody’s health is jeopardized.
