If I am being honest, I am extremely frustrated, tired, and bored. Our semester was quickly taken from us and we are unable to finish off many experiences or see any of our friends. It is even more frustrating to see those who are not following the governments directions and are still hanging out together. The public doesn’t seem to grasp that the longer they don’t listen, the longer we will remain in quarantine. I was to get outside with my friends, go on drives, take photos and just hangout again but we can’t. The most annoying and hard hitting part for me is not knowing when we will all be allowed out again.
Im supposed to go to the beach in late June with my friends, and that seems far enough away where it shouldn’t be an issue, but we have no idea. Shutdown could last for months even. I have spent most of my time playing video games with friends and doing schoolwork. It is also frustrating to see how many professors took this as a chance to assign a bunch of busy work for their classes.
My anatomy professor instantly began a new homework schedule, adding about 6 more assignments per week over what we were usually doing. Although I do have time to complete the assignments, this just adds to the massive amount of stress that many students are already under. We have had no experience with this format and have been thrown into this new era of learning with no experience or understanding. Learning through a screen is not that different of a concept, but is still very difficult due to class size and inability to gain access for personal questions. Overall I feel that this pandemic is taking a huge toll on our society and me.

I share a lot of your frustrations Tyler. I wish people would stop being so selfish so this would end sooner, and I too fear that this might take longer than everyone expects. I am also extremely bored, and miss my friends from school and home. I am angry our semester got cut short because we did not take the proper precautions when this virus first appeared in China.

I also like the last few sentences of your writing, they do a nice job of summarizing your frustrations and have strong vocabulary and voice behind them.

Tyler, I really like your closing sentence. I feel that it really brings all of your writing together well and is a strong ending. Although, all of your sentences are really strong overall. I have more work than normal in so many of my classes, and it is super frustrating and it was nice to see your opinion on how it just adds to stress. I hope you end up going on that trip with your friends in June!

I really enjoyed your writing and how you related your personal feelings to everything going on in society. I think your third and forth sentence add a strong point to describe your frustration. I can relate to this, as I see people hanging out and doing fun stuff that I want to do as well, but I know it’s better to remain distanced right now. I also enjoyed your remark about the added schoolwork and a new system of learning because much of the UD community can relate to what you shared.
