We sit inside each day
Wondering when with this all end
For goodness sake, it’s almost May
We just miss our friends
The days are getting longer
As the fear continues to build
This virus will only make us stronger
And when it’s over, we will rebuild
At this current moment, we are experiencing confusion in this world as a result of the pandemic. We don’t know if we have hit our peak yet, or there is more dark days to come, but one thing that we do know is that we will eventually triumph. This poem speaks towards our current situation of uncertainty, but the assurance that we will be victorious in the near future.

I enjoyed reading your poem. I especially enjoyed how the ending of the poem turned positive and was a reminder to have hope and that this will be over eventually. It is important to stay positive during all this and to look forward to the things we can do when it is all over.

“When will this all end”. That one kinda highlights one of the craziest this about this whole ordeal, the fact that we don’t even know when this is all going to end. This could be our reality for years to come and we would have no way of knowing that right now. The idea of society being different to what we were already so accustomed to is a frightening one because most of us were already comfortable. This change would be a hard one to take, permanently

This poem is short yet powerful, especially with the last line “And when it’s over we will rebuild.” I particularly like that line because it really sums up the message you are trying to convey throughout the poem that we are in a really rough time right now but we will get through it. The rhyming words you use flow together nicely. The explanation you added in the end is exactly what I interpreted from your poem. Nice job.

I really like your picture that you put with the poem. It really represents the positivity that you’re trying to get across. Yes, it seems like the world is so dark, but in reality, the world is getting stronger. Our relationships with people are getting stronger because we just cant wait to see them again. The picture shows that the sun is still shining and it always will be no mater what.
