What if everyone voted?

Would broader participation leave America promoted?

Would uninformed voters flood our polls?

Would this balance out the power and control?

What if we put the power in new hands?

That way everyone can take a stand.

Would that create a better democracy?

United we stand, reverse the hypocrisy.

Creating a sphere for those with no power

Those who do, fall back and cower.

They’ll say, “We’ve been here, we’ve learned”

“Now our country is in the hands of the unconcerned”

Should voters be politically active?

If not, are their votes less attractive?

Should voters show their interest, register in advance?

Or does this target minorities, take away their chance?

Now let’s look at our choices.

We need to hear our nation’s voices.

Make voting easier, register the same day?

It could help more citizens have a say.

We could give people more flexibility when they vote

Voting over a week period, citizens take note.

Can we get more involved?

We need to find a way to get this problem solved.

What is the solution?

More voters, less delusion?

Uninformed voters?

Is that pollution?

Should all citizens have a say?

The question is unanswered but maybe one day

We will see the masses rising, without compromising.

To hear our citizens, we need to stop the immobilizing.
