Dear Kevin Williamson and Julie Plectrum,

During this pandemic I’ve had a lot of questions for the both of you. I know that both of you are the creators of the vampire diaries television show. I’ve been binge watching the show for a couple of weeks now. Throughout the eight seasons I’ve created a list of questions I wanted to ask.

My first question is probably a question that a lot of fans have. Why did you have Damon and Elena end up together in the television series? In the books I know that Elena ends up with Damon’s brother Stephen, but the show differs in this aspect. I personally am a demon fan but I know that all across social media people are still upset that she did not choose Stephen in the end.

The second question I have is why did Nina Dobrev (the person who plays Elena) not sign on for season seven. In my opinion I did not like season seven at all. I found it very bland and boring without Elena in the show. She made up most of the plot. Was her dismissal from the show personal against someone or was she just bored playing the character after so many years?

My most important question has to do with the up-and-coming season. In season nine none of the main characters have decided to come back and played the role after a couple of years. How is the season going to pan out. Half of the important part of the cast rejected their contracts. If it was me personally I would have just ended production. A lot of hard core fans are upset about this move. They feel that eight seasons is enough. Why push your luck and make a night season?

The Vampire Diaries is my favorite show. During this pandemic I’ve actually decided to start reading the books. Without the situation I don’t think I would’ve ever had the time to do this. I I know that the books are completely different from the television show and I’m excited to get a different point of view. It’s very exciting and I’m ready for the ninth season to start being filmed.

Sincerely,

Vienna Iacona
